About the job

The Legal associate will provide legal support and assistance to attorneys in various practice areas. He/she will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, managing case files, and supporting the overall delivery of legal services to the company. Ultimately the legal associate protects the interests of the company and ensures the long-term sustainability of the company.



Responsibilities

● Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on assigned legal issues.
● Should have corporate law experience.
● Proficient in Corporate governance.
● Knowledge of drafting agreements and contracts.
● Prepare legal documents, including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and correspondence.
● Review and analyze legal documents, statutes, regulations, and case law.
● Assist in the preparation of legal opinions, briefs, and memoranda.
● Attend client meetings, depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required.
● Assist in the preparation and management of case files, including organizing documents, indexing, and maintaining electronic and physical files.
● Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals to develop case strategies.
● Assist in negotiation and settlement discussions with opposing parties.
● Stay updated on legal developments, trends, and changes in relevant practice areas.
● Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
● Preparation of stock of agreements and renewal of the database.
● Knowledge of government licensing such as GST and so on.
● Negotiating and emailing the customers.



Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Law, or any related field. ● At least 2 years of proven experience as a Legal Associate in a business environment.
● Strong knowledge of legal concepts, procedures, and relevant laws.
● Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
● Proficient in using legal research tools and databases.
● Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases and deadlines.
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues and clients.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Strong work ethic and commitment to professional development.
● Working knowledge of contract law and data protection regulations.
● Knowledge of Real estate is a bonus point.
● Knowledge of proof reading.
